Galleries
As well as seeing my work at the various exhibitions throughout the year, you can also see my work on a regular basis at two galleries:
Art in East Anglia is an intimate gallery in Bury St Edmunds where artists around East Anglia are featured. There is a home viewing service where the owner, Michele, will bring some examples to your home so you can see them in situ before deciding. She has a great eye and will be able to find that special piece for your home.
Art and Horse Racing Fine Art Gallery is a unique space in Newmarket at the home of racehorse trainer Ilka Gansera-Leveque. Viewing is by appointment but it is open seven days a week. Housed in three stables her collection of international artists will appeal not only to horse lovers (although there is plenty there to satisfy!) but those who enjoy a wide range of media and styles. Ilka’s enthusiasm is infectious and you’ll be charmed by her unusual gallery.
My world away from photography
There are a number of people and organisations with whom I have an association or by whom I have been inspired:
- I have an Associate Distinction from THE ROYAL PHOTOGRAPHIC SOCIETY
- I am an Awareness Speaker for Bowel Cancer UK giving talks about how to spot the signs and limit your risk of colon cancer
- I am a Volunteer for Cancer Research UK and am involved in a number of different ways to help CRUK on their Online Patient and Public Insights Panel.
- Lynch Syndrome UK is a small charity supporting those affected by Lynch Syndrome, a genetic condition pre-disposing those with it to a number of types of cancers.
- An organisation with which I have long been associated, THE WOOLVERSTONE PROJECT, offering sailing for people with disabilities
- The Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam is my “go to” place when I need a serious fix of the Dutch Masters
- On a smaller scale, the Frans Hals Museums offer an immersion of art from 17th century
- A fabulous glass engraving artist: LESLEY PYKE GLASS ENGRAVING
- Talented and spiritual sculptor: PATRICK ELDER
Photographic Heroes
There are many photographers and photographic artists from whom I gain great inspiration. There isn’t space here to list them all, but you may enjoy exploring the following:
