The abundant table represented the wealth of the owner in 17th and 18th century still lifes. This is re-created here using scallops and locally caught lobsters. They are combined with exotic fruits such as peaches and lemons. The iconic peeled lemon representing the true soul of a person once the outer barrier has been removed.
