The Visitation

Because of its bowed flower, the Snakes’ Head Fritillary is often associated with the Virgin Mary being a combination of beauty and humility. When I found this double-headed one it brought to mind the numerous paintings I have seen of the Virgin Mary visiting her cousin, Saint Elizabeth, both of them pregnant and with their heads bowed. Printed using archival quality inks on aluminium dibond. Silver colour anodised aluminium frame. 610x910mm
